U13 Girls had a fantastic win away against Knocknacarra this morning. Goals from Aisling, Jessie, Emily and Caoimhe with a final score of 4-2.
⚽️ U18 Boys went a goal down early in their league game against second placed Craughwell, conceding a soft goal from a corner. Trailing 1-0 at half time, they were determined to turn the game around in the second half. They rattled the Craughwell crossbar twice before intense pressure earned a penalty which Eoin dispatched. They continued to press for a winner and were rewarded when a misplaced goal kick allowed Arzel to lob the keeper from 30 yards. A tough three points well earned in the Newvillage sunshine.
⚽️ Brilliant performance from the Junior Men today away to Shiven Rovers in the Connaught Shield. Sides were level 3-3 after extra time with OAFC eventually losing on penalties. Tough way to exit the Cup but a very strong performance again from the squad who arguably deserved to win in normal time, missing some big opportunities. Goals from Dan Tuck, Thomas Gilson and Kento O’Connor.
⚽️ U16 Boys narrowly lost out 2-1 to Merlin Woods FC/ Medtronic.
