Sunday Round-Up
Yesterday’s sunshine may have abandoned Newvillage today but not even the rain could dampen the spirits of the U13 GIRLS who won their first game of the season.
Goals from Jessie (2), Kate (1), Aisling (1) and Laoise (1), along with a rock solid performance from the back 4 saw OAFC claim a 5-0 victory vs Colga FC by the full time whistle.
A real team win with lots of positives to build on for the season ahead.
⚽️ Our Junior Men played out a 1-1 draw away to Cregmore. Arguably the better side throughout, OAFC missed numerous chances to kill the game off at 1-0 up and conceded a very late goal to settle on a draw.
Renmore at home next Sunday for the lads.
⚽️ U17 BOYS came from one nil down to beat St Bernard’s 2-1 in a tough match in very slippy conditions.
Second half goals from Andrew and Jamie sealed the win.
⚽️ A commanding performance was enough to secure a 3-0 victory for U15 GIRLS.
Congratulations to Moyne Villa for their magnificent new all weather pitch and facilities.
Great to see, a credit to all involved.
