Difficult task for U17 GIRLS today away to Kilshanvey United. Each player worked really hard in all areas of the pitch to get on top of the game. Goals from Ella & Sorcha secured the win in the warm October sunshine. Well Done to all the players! ⚽️ Disappointing first loss of the season for the U15 Championship girls away to Moyne Villa. The girls were 1-0 up at half time thanks to a penalty conversion by captain Jessie. Despite dominating possession they were unlucky not to convert further chances. Injuries changed the course of the game and Moyne Villa capitalised with 3 late second half goals. Tough day at the office but these girls will bounce back. Thanks to Eabha from the U14s for helping the girls out today. ⚽ A solid first half performance kept a top of table Athenry out until late when U13 GIRLS conceded a penalty with a 2nd scored in additional time. Injuries and tiredness took hold in the second half under continuous pressure to concede further. But the score doesn’t reflect the heroics of Lily in goal or the overall effort as the girls adjust to this step up in level. They will learn and grow from these matches. Quick recovery hoped for our wounded Ellen, Aedin, Leah and Kate. ⚽ After a poor start to the game, going one nil down after 10 minutes of play, U17 BOYS Div 1 took control of the game and created several potential chances vs Maree/Oranmore. In the second half, our goalkeeper kept us in the game where we pressed to score a goal and he threatened us with a counter attack. All the pressure paid off towards the end of the game when we won a penalty and equalised 1-1 through goalscorer Conor. ⚽ And finally, our Senior Women drew 0-0 away to Kiltullagh. Decent performance from the ladies who were unlucky not to get a penalty at the very end. Well done to all the Players and Coaches on another great Sunday of football! ... See MoreSee Less
In far from perfect weather, it was a perfect start for U15 BOYS Premier with Pete netting from a great free kick near the halfway line. Tuam Celtic responded with two quick goals to take the lead, but then Nicky capitalised on a poor Tuam clearance to bring us level, 2-2. An end-to-end first half was rounded off with a cool finish from Ryan to give us the lead into the interval. Aided by an increasing wind, Tuam took control early in the second half and were quickly rewarded with an equaliser. OAFC continued to dig in, and with a finish fitting to decide a very exciting game, Liam almost burst the top corner of the net, connecting perfectly on the half-volley to secure this squad's first three points of their campaign and kick start their season. Super team performance against a strong and physical Tuam side. Final score 4-3 to OAFC. ⚽ A thrilling home match for U13 BOYS Div 4 this morning produced 10 goals. Ballinasloe Town started strongest taking an early 2 goal lead. OAFC pulled a goal back when Maìrtin scored his first of the game from the penalty spot. Ballinasloe added a third goal before Máirtín scored his second. Ballinasloe scored again to leave the score 4-2 at HT. OAFC came out very determined in the second half and scored a third goal through Charlie. Ballinasloe increased their lead before Máirtín completed his hat-trick to make it 4-5. OAFC pushed for an equalizer, but Ballinasloe added a sixth goal, finishing the game OAFC 4 - 6 Ballinasloe Town. The boys put in another brilliant effort, didn't give up, and kept going until the final whistle. Well done to Máirtín who scored a hat-trick and to Aidan, Cian, and Mark who made their debut for the team. Well done to all the Players and Coaches on another great Saturday of football!

Convincing 5-0 win away to Moyne Villa B to get the U18 BOYS off to a great start in the League. Two goals from James and goals from Shay, Andrew and Elias. After 10 minutes of play into the second half, OAFC increased their lead after a well executed corner kick. Kinvara then threw all the cards into the attack to make it 2-1. Busy Saturday of football with three U12 and two U14 Boys Squads representing the Club. U12C BOYS hosted a strong Knocknacarra side for their first home game of the campaign. Captain Harry M got us off to a great start with a precise finish. Both teams had a few good chances and the visitors capitalised with a close range strike and a penalty. Undaunted, OAFC kept their minds focused and it was new signing Paddy who came off the bench and scored a wonder goal to equalise just before the interval. Player of the match goes to Roan who ran his socks off and was rewarded with a goal. ⚽ While the 3-0 score suggests an easy game, it was far from it in the U12B BOYS home game vs Cregmore. The visitors opened the scoring midway through the first half, and despite also hitting the woodwork, it was an even enough affair. OAFC got more into it against the wind in second half, with James C in particular unlucky with a high quality free kick. Cregmore got an indirect free and worked an opening to double their lead. A third was conceded while trying to chase the game. Cregmore was the better side on the day but plenty of improvement from the boys. John L gave a superb captain's display and was ably assisted Cormac F at centre back, drawing many positive comments from opposition coaches. Many thanks to the visitors who were very complimentary about our facilities, set-up and the welcome. ⚽ U14B BOYS secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory away to West Utd. Rian opened the scoring with a superb strike from outside the box to give OAFC the lead. However, West Utd responded with two goals to go 2-1 up. In the final 10 minutes, Mark K leveled the score with an excellent header, and with just 5 minutes remaining. Quentin displayed great strength to finish off a well-worked move involving Ethan and Sean down the right flank. Mark K was Man of the Match for his game-changing performance after coming on at half-time. Notable performances also from Liam, Quentin, Rian, and Sean, who were instrumental in the victory. ⚽ A thriller of a Connemara Derby today in Letterfrack for U14A BOYS. West Coast Utd took the lead 10 minutes into the second half in a game with nothing between the sides with chances at both ends. A great penalty save by Conor soon after spurred on the belief for an injury time equaliser. A pinpoint ball from James was watched all the way by Mark and nodded home to perfection! Super work from U13 GIRLS who got off to a great start this morning in the Championship League with a draw away to Salthill Devon A. OAFC got off to an early lead with Aedin tucking in Isabelle’s cross to make it 1-0. Kate very nearly doubled it before Salthill grew into the game. Backs to the wall second half and an equaliser was inevitable. An all round amazing performance by every single girl, but shout out to Isla playing centre back and Lily in nets. ⚽ Senior Women were very unlucky not to win their game vs West United with a goal disallowed. With a tight squad, OAFC played really well and controlled the game, but in the end had to settle for a 0-0 draw. ⚽️ Another great result for U15 GIRLS Championship who came away with a 6-2 win away to Kilshanvey FC. OAFC opened the scoring within minutes when Livia tapped home a goal on the back post from a super cross sent in by Kate on the right wing. Kate found the net herself shortly after, and with the girls playing confidently, Jessie and Livia converted 3 more chances before half time to leave OAFC 5-1 ahead at the break. Credit to Kilshanvey who came out composed and hungry in the second half, scoring first and creating several other good chances that were calmly dealt with by some solid defence work by the OAFC girls. It was end to end from there on in before Rhiannon scored the last goal of the game, again a tap in on the back post. Final score OAFC 6 - 2 Kilshanvey FC. Well done to U13 Boys who secured their spot in the next round of the Irish Cup following a 4-1 win vs Arrow Harps. A good first half saw the boys up 2-0 with goals from Ethan and Loughlan. In the second half OAFC conceded from a free kick to make it 2-1. This kicked OAFC back into life and we grabbed a third, a great strike from Joseph R into the top corner. A fourth from Donnacha M sealed a deserved win and a through to the next round. ⚽ Great start to the League season for U17 BOYS Championship with a well deserved victory against a classy and dogged Kiltullagh side. OAFC started brightly and went in front through a neat finish from David C. Kiltullagh found a foothold in the game and equalised on the stroke of half-time. In the second half, OAFC increased the pressure and there was a succession of chances with the upright and a number of goal savings blocks keeping the scores level. Eventually, James G scored a brilliant brace from two accurate crosses. Final result 3-1 to OAFC. ⚽ Hard luck to U17 BOYS B who narrowly lost out 2-1 to Athenry B . OAFC showed strong character, playing with just 11 players, and scored a goal from the last kick of the game through Conor B. ⚽ A depleted U13 BOYS Div 4 squad came up against a strong side in Oranmore. Oranmore/Maree quickly found their stride and led 3-0 before Máirtín got a goal back for OAFC. Oranmore added another before half-time to make it 4-1. OAFC played the better football for the early part of the second half and scored a second goal through Charlie. Despite putting in a solid effort and creating some decent chances, Oranmore added another three goals. A missed penalty and some good saves by the Oranmore keeper denied OAFC a better scoreline. Well done to U12 GIRLS who kicked off their season today with a win away to Salthill Devon in the Connacht Cup. Our girls started strong with plenty of possession and shots leading to two early goals. Salthill came out fighting in the second half but OAFC managed to hang on to finish with a 4-2 win. Great effort put in all around! ⚽ Hard luck to our Senior Men who lost out against a well organised Colga team. A big plus again was 3 more debutants from our underage structure which will give us great experience going forward. ⚽ U18 BOYS lost out to Salthill Devon A after a thrilling game that went to penalties. The score was 2-2 at full time after Salthill Devon equalised from a corner with the last kick of the game, so we were left to rue our chances to finish game off. AET the score was 3-3. Two goals from David and one from Shay in a display that bodes well for rest of season. ⚽ U14 GIRLS girls turned up to Newvillage this evening with one thing on their minds and had a convincing win vs Tuam Celtic. Well done to our three U12 BOYS Squads who played their first competitive games for the Club today. Tough start away to Maree/Oranmore for U12 BOYS C who travelled with a large squad and started well. Unfortunately two quick goals saw OAFC trailing but we hit the post and with Adam’s shot inches wide were unlucky not to be level at half-time. An improved performance in the second half saw OAFC push for goal but a very late strike from the opposition saw them taking all three points. Special mentions to Hashim for his penalty save and man of the match Conor S. Everyone did well despite the result and plenty of positives to bring to their home fixture in a few weeks. ⚽ Great outing for U12 BOYS B in Colemanstown where they received a lovely welcome from the hosts for their first competitive match in Div 2. Taking advantage of a strong wind, OAFC took a 2-0 lead through classic 'first to react" strikes from Harry. Colemanstown's keeper was always in the right place for our barrage of other shots and they pulled one back in final seconds of first half. Played some great football in second half, but we were drawn back by a Colemanstown free kick that would grace any 'Goal of the Month' competition. Level with 3 mins left, a blocked clearance rolled into our net from outside the box. Conceded a late fourth while we pushed for an equaliser. All 16 boys played and did the yellow jersey proud. ⚽ U12 BOYS A narrowly lost out in a hugely entertaining Connacht Cup game in Oranmore. The first half was end to end with nothing between the teams. Chances created at both ends, but it was Maree/Oranmore who got the rub of the green with a scramble in the box and a goal. Second half saw OAFC start to create chances and pushed for the equalizer. The ball was in the net only for a harsh decision to disallow the goal. OAFC battled until the end but couldn't get the goal they deserved. A great display for this teams first competitive game together. Lots of positives to take into the season ahead. Player of the Match goes to Cathal for his solid performance in defence and leadership as captain. Well done to all the U12 Players and their Coaches on their first competitive outing, they are a credit to their families and our club. ... See MoreSee Less

Fantastic 4-0 victory for U14 BOYS A in Sligo today against Kilglass/Enniscrone United in the Connacht Cup. It took a while to get into the game after the long drive but after two snappy goals from Devon OAFC grew into it. A penalty from Devon to bag the hat-trick and a good headed goal by Mark closed the game off nicely. Man of Match was Cathal Óg for a disciplined display at right back. Huge Thank You to Gordon at RPT Moycullen (Right Price Tyres) for part sponsorship of the bus today... your one stop local garage for tyres , repairs and servicing! ⚽ A true test of character in tough conditions for U14 BOYS Div 5 in their game vs Renmore B which ended in a 2-2 draw. OAFC started strong with a fantastic 40-yard strike from Rian. However, Renmore managed to equalize deep into first half injury time. Early in the second half, Renmore took the lead, but the boys kept battling and were rewarded with just five minutes left when Dean coolly slotted home a penalty. The team should be proud of their effort and resilience in such challenging conditions, never backing down. A huge thank you to all the supporters who came out to cheer—your presence made a real difference in pushing the lads towards the end. Kinvara then threw all the cards into the attack to make it 2-1.
OAFC increased the lead again to 3-1 from a free kick 10 minutes before the end.

A great penalty save by Conor soon after spurred on the belief for an injury time equaliser.
A pinpoint ball from James was watched all the way by Mark and nodded home to perfection! Draw a fair result in the end. Great spirit shown by the lads to keep the heads up today.

Well done Liam.
⚽ Sunday Round Up ⚽
Super work from U13 GIRLS who got off to a great start this morning in the Championship League with a draw away to Salthill Devon A.
⚽
Senior Women were very unlucky not to win their game vs West United with a goal disallowed.
With a tight squad, OAFC played really well and controlled the game, but in the end had to settle for a 0-0 draw.
⚽️
Another great result for U15 GIRLS Championship who came away with a 6-2 win away to Kilshanvey FC.
Well done to all the Players and Coaches on another great Sunday of football! ... See MoreSee Less

⚽ Saturday Round Up ⚽
Well done to U13 Boys who secured their spot in the next round of the Irish Cup following a 4-1 win vs Arrow Harps.
⚽
Great start to the League season for U17 BOYS Championship with a well deserved victory against a classy and dogged Kiltullagh side.
⚽
Hard luck to U17 BOYS B who narrowly lost out 2-1 to Athenry B .
OAFC showed strong character, playing with just 11 players, and scored a goal from the last kick of the game through Conor B.
⚽
A depleted U13 BOYS Div 4 squad came up against a strong side in Oranmore.

⚽ Sunday Round Up ⚽
Well done to U12 GIRLS who kicked off their season today with a win away to Salthill Devon in the Connacht Cup.
Our girls started strong with plenty of possession and shots leading to two early goals. Salthill came out fighting in the second half but OAFC managed to hang on to finish with a 4-2 win. Great effort put in all around!
⚽
Hard luck to our Senior Men who lost out against a well organised Colga team.
A big plus again was 3 more debutants from our underage structure which will give us great experience going forward.
⚽
U18 BOYS lost out to Salthill Devon A after a thrilling game that went to penalties.
The score was 2-2 at full time after Salthill Devon equalised from a corner with the last kick of the game, so we were left to rue our chances to finish game off.
AET the score was 3-3.
Two goals from David and one from Shay in a display that bodes well for rest of season.
⚽
U14 GIRLS girls turned up to Newvillage this evening with one thing on their minds and had a convincing win vs Tuam Celtic.
It was great to see all players passing well and linking up with each other.
Lots of communication between players, and everyone was working hard for each other.

⚽Saturday Round Up⚽
(U12 BOYS)
⚽
Great outing for U12 BOYS B in Colemanstown where they received a lovely welcome from the hosts for their first competitive match in Div 2.
⚽
U12 BOYS A narrowly lost out in a hugely entertaining Connacht Cup game in Oranmore.

⚽Saturday Round Up⚽
(U14 BOYS)
⚽
A true test of character in tough conditions for U14 BOYS Div 5 in their game vs Renmore B which ended in a 2-2 draw.
Standout performances came from Eoin, Brian, and Rian, and Man of the Match went to Liam, who put in a gutsy shift in midfield, excelling on the ball while working tirelessly throughout.
