Hard Luck to U12 BOYS Blue who lost out on penalties after a brave performance vs Ballinasloe Town FC this evening in the League Cup.
A superb game of football ended 2-2 with Devon getting the brace.
The lottery of penalties went Ballinasloe's way on the night but full credit to our players who gave it their all and battled all the way, not being fazed by the big home support.
Jamie was Man of the Match with an excellent performance and a special mention to Conor who was under the weather after the journey but insisted on pulling the jersey on and delivering as he always does between the sticks.
Well done to all the Players and Coaches ๐Ÿ‘
We wish Ballinasloe Town FC all the best in the cup.

All Matches scheduled on the grass pitch in Newvillage today are off as the pitch is unplayable.
COMETS Coaching is cancelled this Sunday to allow construction of the new section of the all weather pitch to be completed. Heavy machinery will be moving in the carpark near the clubhouse and the entrance to the lower pitch on Sunday morning.
Thanks for your understanding.
Women's Recreational Football is on this evening and every Thursday evening. Great for fitness and fun, new players always welcome!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from everyone at OAFC!
A snapshot of the torrential downpours during U21 Men's match in Headford last night.
Tough conditions (too wet for a team photo!) and a very slow start made for a difficult night where OAFC lost out 4-2 to Dynamo Blues.
We got back to 2-2 after conceding two early goals and looked the more likely team to go on and win, but a defensive lapse saw us trail 3-2 at the break.
The second half was much tighter, and having pushed hard for the equaliser, we got caught with a breakaway goal in the last minutes.
Hard Luck but well done to the U21 Squad and coaches for battling it out on a tough night weather-wise ๐Ÿ‘
๐Ÿ”ตSundayโšฝ๏ธRound Up๐ŸŸก

One of the few matches to survive the weekend weather proved to be a cracker when U15 GIRLS met League leaders MareeOranmore in Newvillage this afternoon.
Goals early and late ensured a 1-1 draw. OAFC going one up early on and MareeOranmore equalizing near the end.
In between were moments of spark, passion, hard work & great football.
Well Done to all the players and Thank You to the families for the great support as always ๐Ÿ‘
